User Agreement

1. Parties and the service

This Agreement is between you and the Lovelit team (“we,” “us”) regarding the Lovelit iOS app. Lovelit is a couples’ journal for daily notes, moments, a love calendar, quotes, guides, romantic plans, and local reminders.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 (or the higher age required where you live) and have legal capacity. Otherwise, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
• The app is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not scrape, resell, or use the service for unlawful purposes without written permission.

3. Accounts and on-device data

This version does not require a cloud account. Nicknames, partner details, and Log Out apply only on this device. If you uninstall, change devices, or clear data without a backup, content may be lost permanently. We are not responsible for that loss.

4. User content

• You retain rights in the text, photos, and lists you create (“User Content”) and confirm you have the right to use them.
• You must not post content that is illegal, infringing, obscene, harassing, hateful, or that invades another person’s privacy.
• User Content stays on this device by default. Content you send through the system share sheet is handled by the recipient you choose.
• Do not include someone else’s sensitive information in a moment or note unless they have agreed.

5. License and intellectual property

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app on iOS devices you own or control. The name, icon, quote library, academy content, design, and code belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works except as allowed by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• interfere with the app, related systems, or other people’s devices;
• bypass security or privacy protections;
• use the app for fraud, harassment, or any illegal activity;
• pass off built-in quotes as someone else’s original work for commercial deception.

7. Notifications and permissions

Anniversary and daily-note reminders use iOS local notifications. You can turn them off in Settings. Photo Library access is used only when you choose to attach a photo. Features may be unavailable if you deny permission.

8. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is.” Built-in quotes, academy articles, and scene checklists are inspiration only and are not professional relationship, legal, or medical advice. We work to keep the app reliable but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for data loss caused by device failure, OS updates, user error, missing backups, or force majeure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us for the app (zero if it is provided free of charge).

10. Third-party services

The app may use Apple system features (Share, Notifications, Photo Picker, biometrics). Those services are provided by Apple and governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We do not control third-party apps or websites.

11. Changes and termination

We may update the app or this Agreement and will post the revision date on this page. Continued use means you accept the update. You may uninstall at any time. We may stop providing the service if you materially breach this Agreement.

12. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules), without limiting mandatory consumer protections where you live. Disputes should first be resolved amicably; otherwise they may be submitted to a court with jurisdiction at our domicile. You also retain any non-waivable rights in your country of residence.
