Lovelit is a couples’ daily journal. Your moments, photos, dates, and quotes stay on this device by default. We do not upload private content.
1. Who we are
This policy is issued by the Lovelit team (“we,” “us”). It explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Lovelit iOS app.
2. Information we process
To provide journaling, calendar, reminders, and personalization, the app may process the information below. Except for feedback you choose to send us, this data is stored on your device by default:
Content you create: daily notes, moments, captions, moods, anniversaries, romantic scene checklists, saved quotes, your nickname and partner nickname, your together-since date, and optional location text you type (not system GPS).
Photos: images you pick from the library and attach to a moment. They are saved as JPEG files in the app sandbox Documents folder and are not synced to our servers.
Device identifier: an anonymous device ID (dev_id) generated and stored in the iOS Keychain to recognize this installation. It is used only for on-device features, not for advertising.
Preferences: language, Face ID, background blur, reminder toggles, and the anonymous analytics switch, stored in UserDefaults on this device.
Feedback (optional): text and contact details you enter in Help & Feedback. We use them only to address your request. The current version mainly confirms submission on device.
3. What we do not collect by default
No account sign-up is required. We do not collect legal names, ID numbers, or payment details.
We do not access contacts or the microphone, and we do not continuously collect precise GPS in the background.
We do not sell or share your couple journal or photos with advertising platforms.
Anonymous analytics is off by default. Even if you turn it on, diary text and photos are not uploaded.
4. System permissions
We request permission only when a feature needs it and you agree:
Photo Library: to attach photos to moments.
Notifications: for anniversary and daily-note reminders (local notifications).
Face ID / biometrics (optional): to unlock the app on this device. Biometric data is held by iOS; we cannot read it.
You can turn these off in iOS Settings at any time. Related features may stop working; your other local records remain.
5. How we use information
To show countdowns, the love calendar, badges, the quote library, and romantic plans on this device.
To send local reminders at the times you set.
To protect private content when Face ID is enabled.
To improve the product if you send feedback or enable anonymous analytics.
6. Storage and retention
Notes, photos, and settings live on your iPhone. Uninstalling the app or using Clear Local Cache may delete this data permanently. The Keychain device ID may remain after uninstall until you reset the device or we provide a deletion path.
We do not offer cloud account sync. If you use iCloud device backup, that backup is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information only:
with your clear consent;
when required by law or a competent authority;
when necessary to protect vital rights of users or the public.
The in-app Share action uses the system share sheet. The third-party app you choose receives only what you select and is governed by that party’s policies.
8. Children
Lovelit is intended for adult couples. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age required where you live). If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your choices
View, edit, or delete records and photos inside the app.
Turn off notifications, Face ID, or anonymous analytics, or clear local cache.
Revoke Photo Library and notification access in iOS Settings.
Email us to review or delete feedback you previously sent.
10. Policy updates
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date on this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide a reasonable in-app or other notice.
