Introduction
Welcome to Meanr (the "App" or "we"). Meanr is an on-device AI photo stylization tool.
We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use the Meanr iOS app, and the rights you may have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect or process the following types of information:
1. Photos
- Photos you select via the system photo picker for AI stylization and filters.
- Core AI stylization runs locally on your device. Photos are not uploaded to our servers for AI processing.
- Generated works are stored locally on your device by default and can be deleted at any time in the App.
1A. Face Data
- When you select a photo that contains a face and run stylization, the App may temporarily analyze face regions on-device using Apple’s Vision framework. This may include face bounding boxes and facial landmark/contour geometry used only to crop, align, or create local masks so stylization can be applied correctly.
- This face geometry is held only transiently in device memory during processing. It is not persisted as a face template, biometric profile, or facial-recognition identity record, and it is not used for authentication, user identification, or cross-session tracking.
- Face data is not uploaded to our servers and is not shared with any third party. After processing finishes, the temporary geometry is discarded when memory is released.
- Stylized images you choose to keep may still depict a face as visual content. Those images remain on-device in the app sandbox and/or your Photos library if you save them. You can delete works in the App or remove local data by deleting the App.
2. Device and Identifier Information
- Device identifiers (such as IDFV) for app functionality, account association, and service stability.
- Basic device information such as app version, OS version, and channel ID.
3. Push Notification Information
- With your permission, we may collect Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device tokens to send you service-related notifications.
4. Advertising Attribution and Tracking
- With your permission via App Tracking Transparency (ATT), we may collect advertising identifiers (IDFA) and attribution data through third-party services such as AppsFlyer to measure ad performance and improve the product experience.
- If you deny tracking permission, we will not use IDFA for cross-app tracking, but we may still use aggregated data that does not identify you personally.
5. App Preferences and Local Cache
- Your settings, work history metadata, and local cache are stored on your device (e.g., UserDefaults, Keychain, app sandbox).
How We Use Information
- Provide core features such as photo stylization, filters, and work management;
- Maintain app security, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance and user experience;
- Send push notifications (only with your permission);
- Perform advertising attribution analysis and product analytics;
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
On-Device Processing
Meanr's core AI models run on-device using Apple Core ML. Photos you select are processed locally for inference and rendering without uploading to the cloud for stylization. This helps reduce privacy risk and improve processing speed.
Some auxiliary features (such as configuration loading, web content display, and push registration) may involve network communication with servers or third-party services, but your original photos are not uploaded for AI inference.

Information Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Apple: App distribution and push notification services;
- AppsFlyer: Advertising attribution and marketing analytics (when tracking is authorized);
- Service providers: Partners bound by contract for operations, analytics, and support as necessary;
- Legal requirements: When required to comply with laws, legal processes, or to protect users and public safety.

Data Storage and Security
- Works and history are stored locally on your device by default, retaining up to the 50 most recent works (subject to the current app version).
- Sensitive information such as device identifiers may be stored in the Keychain.
- We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Local data is deleted when you uninstall the App or manually clear your works (except for certain caches affected by iOS system mechanisms).
Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
